Strategic Objectives 

Strategic Objective 1: 


Universal Academics: By the end of the 2026-2027 school year we will significantly improve universal instruction for all students across the district.




Strategic Objective 2: 


Universal Social Emotional Learning: By the end of the 2026-2027 school year we will significantly improve social-emotional support for all students across the district. 

Strategic Objective 3: 


Multi-Tiered System of Supports: By the end of the 2026-2027 school year we will implement tier 2 supports in academics and social emotional learning for students in all schools at all grade levels.  



Strategic Objective 4:

 

Post-Graduate Outcomes: By the end of the 2026-2027 school year every student will have a four year plan by the end of 9th grade, monitor and adjust that plan each year and evaluate their success in achieving and modifying their plan for post graduation success.

Strategic Initiatives

Strategic Initiative 1.1:

Increase the adoption of high quality instructional materials, which challenges and engages all learners.


Strategic Initiative 1.2: 

Create embedded professional development opportunities for staff. 


Strategic Initiative 1.3: 

Support the use of data to improve student learning.

Strategic Initiative 2.1: 

Align mental health services and wellness strategies across the district.


Strategic Initiative 2.2: 

Provide direct instruction to all students around the core competencies of social emotional learning.

Strategic Initiative 3.1: 

Develop and articulate consistent tiered systems of academic support throughout the district. 


Strategic Initiative 3.2: 

Develop and articulate consistent tiered systems of social, emotional and behavioral support.


Strategic Initiative 3.3: 

Align common practices throughout the district for identifying students who require tier 2 and tier 3 interventions.

Strategic Initiative 4.1: 

Create clear pathways that encourage students to create a four year plan for high school as well as beyond.


Strategic Initiative 4.2: 

Create opportunities for all students to earn industry recognized credentials.



Student Outcomes

  • 5 point increase in the Average Scaled Score in Achievement Baseline score in all subject areas tested on the 2027 MCAS. 
  • Increase our District’s Criterion-referenced target percentage by 20% for our High Needs Subgroup in our DESE Accountability Data.
  • 10% increase in percentage of students at or above grade level in reading using Acadience Reading K-5 assessment by the end of 2027.
  • A 5% decrease in the number of students who are flagged as needing SEL support through our SEL screener.
