Whether you need an introduction or a refresher, the Ash-West Special Education Parent Advisory Council and AWRSD Department of Pupil Services invite you to the webinar, “Timelines, Evaluations, and DESE's COVID Guidelines,” on Monday, December 7th from 6:30 to 8:00pm. Special education eligibility evaluations and related timelines are multi-step and may be confusing for those unfamiliar with the special education process—even during normal times. Last spring, the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education issued COVID-19 guidelines for special education that included guidance on timelines and evaluations. Katie Meinelt, an attorney at Sankey Law Offices representing clients in all areas of education law, will give an overview of each area and answer questions.
